Salman Khan singing: He may be the current king of the Bollywood box office, but the actor definitely can’t sing and once again demonstrated that by murdering the track Jag Ghoomeya. Only his die-hard fans will be able to listen to his rendition of the Sultan song without getting a headache and that is why it is probably best avoided. Unfortunately it looks like he will be destroying more songs with his bad vocals in the future.
Indian censor board: It has probably been one of the worst months for the Indian cinema regulatory board. Demanding a high number of what most consider unnecessary cuts in Udta Punjab and eventually losing a high court case has resulted in bad global press, but also heavy criticism from a large chunk of the Bollywood fraternity. The film’s producer Anurag Kashyap said he felt blackmailed by the censor board, but ultimately won his battle.
Do Lafzon Ki Kahani: It may be based on hit Korean movie Always (2011), but the recently released romance received largely negative re- views and was mostly rejected by audiences. One critic summed it up best by describing the romantic drama starring Randeep Hooda and Kajal Aggarwal (above) as a cinematic calamity.
