The RHS London Rose Show took place on May 29 to 30
THIS is a “must-see” show for everyone who loves roses; not just the bloom, but also the fragrance.
The RHS London Rose Show featured a wide variety of roses from growers David Austen, Harkness, Apuldram and John Cullen.
They featured their most popular roses with a special price just for the event, which was held on May 29 and 30 in central London.
Many varieties were shown, from fragrant, heady blooms to beautiful compact bushes, as well as rambling trailers with an abundance of blooms in stunning colours.
Stunning floral displays were also on display, mainly showcasing beautiful antique roses. For the serious gardener, there was a plant clinic where solutions to overcome common pests and diseases affecting their prized roses could be tackled with expert advice from the RHS Gardening Advice team.
This included talks and demonstrations throughout the day. For the sensory side of the show, there were exhibitors selling candles with exquisite fragrances as well as stunning designs.
Other exhibits featured cosmetics and textiles all using the rose, including a home bakery business, and Brett and Bailey, who made rose-themed cakes and bakes.
